Our location has many advantages; we are only a short drive from the Lake District, the beauty of the Lune Valley, the awe of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the pleasant views of the Trough of Bowland.
Kirkby Lonsdale, located in the Lune Valley, most famous for its connection with painter and art critic John Ruskin, is only 15 minutes away by car, and Windermere, best known by many as the gateway to the Lake District, is only 25 minutes.
Notable local attractions include Yealand Conyers village, Leighton Moss Nature Reserve and Leighton Hall. Yealand has historically been known as home to some of the earliest Quakers, and only a short one and a quarter mile walk away is Leighton Moss, the internationally renowned nature reserve run by the RSPB. It is most notable for having appeared as the primary film location for in 2014 and 2015 series of the BBC’s Autumn Watch.
